Isaiah held on, "You can run faster without me. My legs aren't hurt, I can run."

Jason shook his head. "maybe you can but i'm not stopping long enough to let you off" he said as he kept running, putting some good distance despite the slight weight addition

Soon, they couldn't see any more of the German troops. Isaiah held onto Jason, "Are they gone?" she whispered.

Isaiah looked around, "If we can find that village, we can find our way almost anywhere."

Jason nodded. "yeah but i think it's best if we bed down for now, try to avoid detection" he said noticing a hole just big enough for them, that was deep, under the roots of a tree, you wouldnt' see it unless you knew it was there. he smiled and broke some tree branches off and set her down inside, going in and covering up the entrance. "we'll be safe in here" he said.

Isaiah nodded, careful of her arm as she adjusted herself into a comfortable position.

Jason looked at her. "how much food do you have? about how many days worth?" he asked.

Isaiah turned and looked in her bag, "About a week for one, three days for two."

Isaiah nodded, then paused for a long while, "While it's just the two of us, do you mind calling me Bella?"

Isaiah, now Bella, smiled lightly, "Well, I haven't felt like a girl since I got here, might as well enjoy it while it lasts."

Bella smiled, blushing lightly so it warmed her cheeks, "And it's nice to be able to do that, too, without having to look over my shoulder."

Jason smiled and nodded, his cheeks turning a light shade of pink as well. he hugged her close to him, cuddling with her for the first time.

Bella was soon asleep, not making a sound, save for the light sound of her breathing in the silence of the night.

When the morning came, the sounds of Germans shouting orders to and from each other was the first thing they heard.

jason held her close, looking out, they could see german footsoldiers walking around. their hiding place was going unnoticed. that was good. right now they were smack in the middle of the german army.

Bella woke slowly, then immediately silenced herself as she heard the Germans.

Bella, however, spoke fluent German. "They are saying that they think we might be nearby..." she paused, listening to them carefully, "Shouting... bird... king..." She paused a moment longer then looked over at Jason, "They are looking for you."

Jason raised an eyebrow. "apparantly they aren't too happy with me" he whispered. "most likely they want me dead"

"The words they were using weren't exactly hinting that they wanted you over for tea." Bella whispered.
