The Angel of Greensville Chapel

Greensville is a small town with only five residents to speak of. Fred “Flintstone” Baker, his wife “Bessie”, an old woman named Lucy, a preacher called Father Nathan, and a young man named Victor.
There is only one street in town, ironically called Main Street. It’s just a dusty dirt road with a few houses, a gas station/general store, and a big, beautiful chapel.
The chapel has huge stained glass windows and beautiful hand-painted angels all over the walls. And though no one goes to church to listen to Father Nathan, Victor goes every day to look at the beautiful paintings and glass.
Victor notices that in all the paintings, the angels are men. When he asks Father Nathan about it, the middle-aged preacher tells him about a group of angels called the Fallen.
The Fallen are angels who left heaven to take over Earth. Both male and females left when Lucifer called them down to join his cause, but a few stayed behind to serve God. These angels that stayed were called The High Order, and the ones that left were forevermore called The Fallen. The Fallen were given free reign on Earth, under the condition that they were not to take away a person’s willpower. Their only goal was to convert humans to their cause. Humans that joined them were turned into black angels by Lucifer, called The Black Ones. In the early days, only the male angels fought The Fallen and The Black Ones to protect humans, so they were the ones painted by old artists. He spoke of young angles called The Doves who were trained by the females to fight Fallen and Black Ones, but in more recent days, some females had chosen to fight as well.
Victor left the chapel wondering about all that Father Nathan had told him. Part of him said that it was all just a bunch of silly old stories, but another part believed what Father Nathan had told him. He went to bed that night after resolving to go back in the morning to ask the preacher some more questions.
When he went into the chapel in the morning, it was in shambles. The glass windows were all shattered and fires were started on the walls with the paintings. Father Nathan had been hung from the roof with a white baptism robe, black feathers clutched in his right hand.
Some parts of the chapel had been salvaged and an action was to be held in order to try and raise money to rebuild it. Among the items found, Victor saw a beautiful painting of a small girl with feathery white wings. A Dove.
Victor brought the painting home with him and hung it on the wall over his fireplace, marveling over it for many nights. But, eventually, he forgot all about the girl in the painting. Until one night, he heard a clatter of something falling to the floor. He crept into the living room to see what it was, then saw the girl from the painting staring at the picture of herself, her eyes full of wonder. Se quickly turned to see Victor, and then flew out the window in surprise.
And this is where we begin. The girl, a Dove by the name of Lilly, flying up to her home in heaven. Doves aren’t supposed to go down to Earth, much less let a human see them. Lilly knows if anyone has caught her, then she could be in for a lot of trouble. In order to save herself all the time and worry, she goes to the one of the head angels, Jason, and reports herself, telling him all that has happened.

Angel Ranks and Abilities

Doves: Doves are essentially as powerful as humans. The only things they can do are fly with their small wings for short distances. The only weapons they are permitted to carry are small knives, barely more than butter knives. They are innocent beyond compare and bleed white.

High Order: High-Order angels are very strong, very fast, and can fly for unlimited lengths of time. They are very righteous and goal oriented. Usually, they are quite serious.

Black Ones: Black Ones are very strong, dark creatures who live for the pain of others. They are as strong as High Order angels and are poisonous. Their venom is strong enough to knock a High Order angel out and kill a Dove. They are usually a lot like rabid animals and will attack anything. However, they are very smart. They bleed a black, tar-like substance.

Fallen: The Fallen are very powerful, vain angels that rebelled against God and left to join Lucifer. They are proud and very beautiful and can control the minds of others. They get stronger with the pain of others.

Triumvirate: There are three Triumvirate, Jason, the Arch-Angel, Azreala, the Death Angel, and the Messenger angel. Jason and Az are both rather childish most of the time, but the Messenger angel is serious and rarely ever laughs at anything. They are all extremely powerful.

Rules:
1) No god-modeling
2) Post characters first and let me accept them
3) Your characters must be Doves, High Order, Black Ones, or Fallen.
4) Listen to the Admins.

Bio: Lilly is in her last year of Dove school and when she graduates, she will become a member of The High Order. Unfortunately, she accidentally broke the rules and allowed a human other than priests or specially chosen humans see her. She is timid and shy, but very friendly and positive.

Bio: Not really a religious person, Victor didn’t believe in angles until he saw Lilly the Dove in his living room. Now, he wants to catch her to prove to his friends in Greensville that Angels do exist, though he doesn’t realize that if she were caught, then she would probably be treated as an animal and put on display for the world. He is self-centered and cares little about the well being of others.

Bio: Jason was around when the fallen followed lucifer away. He was among the first to rise up to fight the fallen and black ones and as a result was elected to the triumvirate and has retained his position ever since. he constantly works on his swordsman skills as well as his healing and one secret ability that none have seen and lived to tell of.

They did, but not in the way expected. Zane is now bound to the Fallen and his mind has been altered to where the Fallen can control his thoughts. He has not yet been fully corrupted by the Fallen's dark power, but he is bound to Hell.

Jason watched the eyes of the young dove before him. His expression was hard, but gradually it softend. he smiled softly at her. "well since you weren't captured and the man has no proof of your exsistance i think we can just forget about this event" he said smiling at her. "just be more carefull of your surroundings the next time you see yourself lilly" he said laughing. "you will have to have some punishment but ill find something else later" he said patting her head.

Lilly's eyes were stunned. She was expecting herself to be in a lot more trouble than she was, but she wasn't about to complain about it. She had heard of angels who had been seen by humans, then sent to the Fallen to be used as lunch. Her right leg was dripping in pure white Dove blood where Victor had shot her on her way out, but she hadn't noticed in her hurry to get away. Now that she was finally starting to relax, she was forced to grit her teeth in pain. "Thank you..." she said quietly, bowing her entire upper body in reverence.

Jason rolled his eyes. "you'd think after an eternity of saying not to people would stop showing me formalities like this" he said chuckling. he pushed her back up lightly. "now hold still" he said kneeling next to her and holding his hand over her leg and healing it. "there all better" he said rising. "now keep out of trouble. or i may have to tail you for awhile to make sure you stay out of trouble" he said

Electra floated cautiously above the small church. She ever so wanted to go in, but her rules binded her from ever stepping foot or wing on a holy land.
"Should have stayed behind..." Electra whispered to herself.
Electra precariously flew up, wanting to continue going up, but she felt a small pull in the back of her mind pushing her back down.
"Curse my rebellious nature...forcing me to leave..."
As Electra flew away from the church, a small shadowed tear fell down her cheek. It fell and landed solemnly on a human below. She was well out of sight before he knew what had touched him.

Lilly nodded, then stopped herself before she bowed again. She was just a Dove, it was expected for her to bow to any member of the High Order. Especially one of the Triumvirate. She rotated her ankle, glad to be rid of the pain in her leg. "Thank you, sir." She said reverently.

"yet another formality." he said rolling his eyes. "i told you to call me Jason after the last time you got in trouble didn't i?" he asked eyeing her. "for that your punishment will be now. gather your field equipment. you are to accompany me on a reconascense run" he said with a twinkle in his eye. most doves loved recon missions, since they got to fly without telling people where they were going for sure.

Lilly nodded solemnly. She knew better than to show that she was going to have fun with a punishment. The one giving the punishment might decide to give you something far worse and she wasn't about to push her luck further. Her eyes still sparkled with innocent pleasure. One thing that separated Lilly from most Doves was that she was innocent in the extremes. Most Doves were very mischievous and loved getting into trouble. Lilly tried her best to obey all the rules, but sometimes she would just end up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Jason chuckled. after so many years he could tell a lot about a person by their eyes. he knew she would love this. "hurry up now. you have five minutes to be back here or else" he said sounding rather serious, but the twinkle in his eyes said otherwise. he was more like a dove then a major leader by how he acted. but he was serious when it was needed, and that's what counted.

Lilly nodded silently and ran to get her things. On most recon missions, they stayed someplace overnight. She had been on only two, but she packed everything she would need for one night and ran back to Jason, a trip that only took three minutes when she flew. Doves weren't particularly fast or strong, essentially they were physically the equivalent of a human and not much else.

"very good lilly" he said smiling. his pack was on his back over his swords. "well lets get going" he said spreading his wings and rising gracefully into the air. he hovered above her waiting for her to catch up. one strange thing people noticed about jason was that he never loved or was loved by any of the others of the high order. he never had at all. that was strange considering how many lifetimes he had to find someone.

Lilly hadn't noticed it herself. She just tried her best to get through the day in one piece, which was difficult all things considered. She flew up to where Jason was hovering, not going even a millimeter ahead of him. He was over her in rank, so he was first.

Jason smiled at her and started flying. he could reach very high speeds, but he kept his speed in check so that lilly could keep up with him. He looked back at her, flying on his back. "try to keep up now" he said playfully. most people found it hard that this childish angel was really the same clever general that they trusted so deeply.

Electra slowed her flying as she lowered herself to sit on the edge of an old building.
"This world...what I would do to live here again..."
Electra laughed at her own thoughts as she crossed her legs.

Again, Lilly wasn't paying to much attention, actually, if she didn't watch better, she was likely to hit something. She seemed to be completely absorbed by the joy of flying. She was, however, able to keep up with Jason when she focused. Which was rarely. When she finally realized what she was doing, she hoped that he wasn't mad at her for slowing them down and flew close, trying to force herself to focus.

"well young one today will be your first confrontation with a fallen" he said looking out into the distance. his face set itself determined. he reached out and gripped her hand. "did you pack your weapons?" he asked looking at her.

She nodded. She had packed every weapon that Doves were allowed to have; a small knife. She swallowed hard. She had heard so many awful stories about the Fallen, how could she even survive? She was just a Dove... Then she remembered Jason was with her and felt strangely safe.

Jason drew his swords. "whatever happens stay behind me." he said as he sped up, diving towards the house that the fallen was sitting on and landing behind her with swords drawn. He watched her. "Electra... i was wondering when i would see you again. it's been awhile since you joined the fallen" he said, his voice changed to the serious one warriors knew him by.

Lilly kept behind Jason, not even visible behind his wings. She held her small knife in her hands carefully. She didn't want to mess this up.

Electra stiffened and turned slowly...
"Jason...it's you."
She tried to hold the excitement back in her voice. Someone from the High Order was one of the people she wanted to see most, yet someone she would have to kill if she ever ran into.

Jason sensed the excitement in her voice, and saw it in her eyes. he sheathed his swords. "yes it's me. now mind explaining why you are so excited to see me when i'm suposed to kill you on sight and vice versa?" he asked watching her suspiciously. his ability to judge the emotions of others astounded most everyon that came across him. That was one of the only reasons he hadn't been destroyed. deception didn't work on him.

Electra hesitated, unsure if this was the place or time to reveal herself.
"Jason...I don't believe I can tell you my reasons right now...maybe at a later time..."
Electra slowly reached back to touch the tip of her dagger's handle, in case he decided to attack.

Lilly pause, unmoving as a kite on a windless day. The eerie, unspoken quite stillness that came just before someone got slaughtered in a scary movie. Did the Arch-Angel know this Black One? Stranger things had happened, but still, it would surprise her nonetheless.
