Kyira, Bella, Marcello, and Zane: How It All Began

Zane held his hand gently on her cheek as his soft lips touched hers. He was so gentle and tender, it gave Kyira goosebumps at the lightness of his touch. His lips moved into a symphony of senses: everything from his gentleness to an eagerness seemed to be felt just by the feeling of his lips on hers.

Kyira grew a slight bit eager and pushed the kiss farther, but not much, not wanting to push him or herself any further than they were ready for.

Zane continued to kiss her until the table in front of him prohibited him moving any closer.
Zane smiled and blushed brightly, "Oops. Forgot about that." he said, looking down at the table.

Kyira laughed a bit and looked down.
"I guess this might have to wait until a bit later on tonight, don't you think?"

"I'll look forward to it." Zane smiled pleasantly and sat back down next to Marcello. Bella was giggling as if the funniest thing she had ever seen in her life had just taken place.

Kyira resisted the urge to stomp Bella's foot and decided to take a huge drink from her soda instead.
"Yummy..."

Dinner proceeded uneventfully, but Bella either passed out in the car, or fell asleep very quickly on the way back to Kyira's house. Still, no word from Bella's parents.

Kyira shut the door on the room where she had Bella sleeping and sighed.
What am I going to do about her parents...?
Kyira looked down as she walked back into the living room and sat on the couch.

Zane put his arm around Kyira and played with the ends of her hair, "I hope you don't mind me asking, but where is your family? I mean, you've been taking such good care of Bella, I was just wondering if your mom and dad see you often."

"Well...my parents are dead...and that goes into a long story of abuse and how...they died..."

Zane held her close to him, as if trying to protect her from tears threatening to come, "My mother and father left Marcello and I in a Wal-Mart when I was four years old. Marcello was six. They told us to close our eyes and count to 100 and they would have a surprise for us. When we opened our eyes, they were gone. We never saw them again."

"Well my parents beat me up until3 years ago...that's when I fought back...and needed up killing them both. Their was an investigation and everything, I told them the truth and they believed me, but they still investigated and junk. So after about 6 months they said I was legally protected because they were abusing me and I did it out of self defense. So they just let me go...even though I still feel bad, I'm glad I did it because I might not be here to take care of Bella."

"Where ever. I got my room and then there's the third spare room. The room Bella's in is pretty much her's, considering most of her stuff is here. The spare you two can fight over."

Marcello grinned, "Zane: I banish you to the couch because I am older than you."
Zane frowned as Marcello ran into the spare room, leaving Zane to the couch.
"I hate it when he does that."

"You don't have to sleep on the couch...my bed's a queen size, I don't mind if you don't...."

"That would be really great. But if you are sure you want to... I don't mind... It's your house..." He blushed brighter with each word.

"Well I offered didn't I? I'm sure it's fine with me."
Kyira laughed a little and the blushed lightly.

Zane smiled and touched her forehead with his, "You owe me a kiss." He grinned.
His tone wasn't too bold, merely asking. The next move was in her hands.

Kyira grinned as her breathing sped up and she maneuvered her head to the side to kiss Zane.

Zane kissed her back, tenderly, raising goosebumps on her arms. He gently rested his hand on the side of her face, caressing her close to him as if she were a priceless china doll that could get hindered by the slightest breeze.

Kyira kept her eyes closed and put her hand on Zane's moving it down his arm to rest in the crease of his arm, while her other hand went to rest at the back of his neck.

Zane put his other hand around her shoulders, almost lifting her off the ground as warmth radiated from his body. The soft fabric of his shirt was warm and smelled sweet. It was a scent that could rarely be forgotten.
