Kyira, Bella, Marcello, and Zane: How It All Began

Kyira smiled.
"She should love it. All she ever talked about was getting a bunny."

"Yah." Bella grinned, hiding the hurt over talk of her family, but everyone else seemed to be enjoying the topic they were on, so she continued to act happy.

The doctor walked back in and motioned for Kyira to walk into the hallway. Since Bella was underage still and she needed a parents signature for release she had to sign. Once she was finished she came back in the room grinning.
"Grab your crap Bells, we're out."

"Gotta wait for them to get this thing out." She sighed, waving her arm.
As if on cue, a nurse came to unhook her from the IV and such.
"Thank heaven!"

Kyira laughed as she threw Bella's clothes at her.
"Get dressed, we'll be outside waiting for you."
Kyira grabbed Zane's hand, tugging lightly and pushed Marcello out.

Zane and Marcello followed Kyira's lead and soon after, Bella was running outside like nothing was wrong with her at all. She lept into the car, grinning brightly, "Finally!"

Kyira laughed and climbed into the car.
"Do you want to go get food or go straight home?"

"Food if it's not to much trouble. I'm dying!" She laughed, again using an irony that was almost unbearable.

"Ha, alright, but no more dying remarks, 'kay?"
Kyira grimaced un-noticeably as she drove the car towards a Chinese restaurant.

"Why?" Bella asked curiously, "Id this about all those years ago when I was..." She didn't finish. Kyira knew Bella had died once and been revived by the doctors while she was sick.

Kyira nodded slightly, hoping it would silence Bella. She parked the car and climbed out, waiting for the others to follow suit.

Bella climbed out as well, nervously playing with the purple bandage on her arm. She hated worrying Kyira. After all she had done for her, it seemed so wrong to cause her any unneeded stress.

Kyira put her hand on Bella's shoulder and lead her into the restaurant, taking a booth seat near the back.
"Order whatever you want you three."
Kyira said as she sat down with Bella across from her.

Bella nodded. Zane grimaced, "I'm probably not going to be able to eat anything." he blushed furiously, "I'm vegan."
Marcello nodded, "It the truth. Bloody idiot. How can you stand to avoid that?" He pointed to a picture of a pork dish.
Bella gasped, "I would die without meat!"

"I'm not really vegan, but I usually eat only chicken and fish. Any other meat I can usually avoid, unless I'm distracted, then I order whatever I think of..."

"Vegan is way to extreme." Bella and Marcello said at the same time, both blushing furiously.
Zane rolled his eyes, "Looks like we have a pair of lovebirds on our hands."

"Yup." Kyira agreed as she stared at her menu, not really there.

Zane noticed her mental absence and grinned. He pulled down her menu and smiled, "I'd like to try some of that."
He leaned forward across the table and brushed her forehead with his lips in a tender, gentle almost-kiss.

Kyira blushed and looked down.
"I don't think my forehead goes well with your vegan diet."

"I'm willing cheat if it means you'll let me do it again." Zane grinned, blushing brightly as he sat back down.

Kyira laughed, a bit nervous.
"Well, if I didn't say no the first time, who says I will the next time you try?"

"Does that mean yes?" He asked plainly. His dark eyes deepened into a sensual, absorbing black hole that filled Kyira's body with warmth. One had to wonder if he knew he was doing that.

Kyira stared in his eyes, slightly mesmerized. When she spoke, there was no hesitation pr nervousness in her voice.
"Yeah..."

Zane kissed her forehead more definitely this time, then brushed another onto the bridge of her nose, then a breath of a kiss, sweet and lingering, landed on her lips, where he held his face, as if waiting for permission to continue.

Kyira felt her breathing quicken as she rushed herself forward a bit when Zane kissed her.
