Jason coughed a bit. "You'll have to do better than that" He said grabbing her arm. he spun and slammed her very hard into the ground on her back, then sent a large shockwave through her arm into the rest of her. just because he didn't like fighting when it could be avoided, didn't mean he couldn't fight when he needed to.

Rebecca gritted her teeth as the shock wave went through her, but didn't slow down, aiming a hard, fist punch at his stomach hard enough to knock the wind out of him while she kicked him off of her. She had never been afraid to fight dirty, either, so a swift kick to the groin came along soon after.

Cai flew overhead, scanning the ground. "Becky?" He called, looking for Rebecca. "Damn it, where'd she go...."

Jason was no stranger to dirty fighters. the instant he saw the kick comming he squeezed his legs together so the kick stopped short. from there he sent a huge shock through her body, with enough force to send her flying into a tree. "just stop now before this gets ugly" he said, his body crackling with electricity, any hit would cause her pain too.

Rebecca stood back up, blood dripping down her nose. She was clearly not going to back down. Her hand balled up into a fist, she aimed a hit at Jason, but it was caught by M, who had seemed to appear from nowhere. "That's enough, Rebecca." he said with a calm, yet authoritative voice.
Rebecca looked Jason in the eye, anger blazing, but relaxed and put her arm down at her side.
"All she wanted to do was talk, Jason, why didn't you just hear her out?" M asked.

Jason backed quickly away from him. "Sorry, but when I hear the whole, 'you're comming dead or alive thing' it's not exactly easy to just stick around' He said, his hand already on his sword. "As for this time, she started the fight" he said, making a wide circle, planning fully to get angel and get going. he still didn't trust this guy.

M laughed playfully, in a way that was entirely unexpected from him, "Rebecca, darling, you still have a way with words, don't you?"
Rebecca looked over at Jason, the only thing holding her back was M.
"I apologize for her, I should have just sent Cai. I just want to talk to you, Jason. See if we can work out a bargain? I'm not unreasonable, nor am I cruel. Cai and Rebecca only follow me because they want to. I've not got any kind of hold or oath binding them."

"what do you want from me?" jason asked, still making the circle. he wanted to get to Angel. he didn't have any proof that this guy was anything he claimed. He got to angel and picked her up gently in his arms, still keeping his distance, one hand never leaving his sword. First impressions had long memories. the first impression hadn't been too good, and jason hadn't forgotten it.

M hesitated a bit, as if he were trying to figure out weather or not to tell the truth, then spoke, "I need you to help me bring my wife back."
Rebecca seemed shocked, "You never told me you were married."

Jason raised an eyebrow. "and how the hell am i supposed to do that? all I can do is control electricity, so if she's been gone more than a couple of minutes there's nothing i can do" He said, still not relaxing his guard.

"She's been gone for a few hundred years, Jason. And you can help me. Your sword." He said, pointing to the sword on his back, "Can help you travel through time."

Jason's curiousity overcame his usual common sense. "how can it do that?" He asked. "I thought all it could do was boost my power" He said.

"It's a thing of many wonders." M said simply, "I would know. I made it."

Jason blinked. "Okay you lost me there' he said watching this guy. "if you made it, why didn't you just make another?" He asked.

"Because the metal in the sword is a very special kind. The sword you are holding is made of the world's entire supply of it." M explained.
"He's telling the truth..." Rebecca said simply, "You can control electricity, I can tell when people are lying and he's telling you the truth."
