A pleasant shiver ran down my spine when his breath hit my cheek. I smiled and laughed.
"You giggle like a girl."

"Apparently, I do a lot of things like a girl." He giggled, "Do you want me to stop?" he asked.

I smiled and shook my head. "No, don't stop. I think it's cute."

Zane smiled brightly, "Well, don't I feel loved." his phone buzzed from inside his pocket as he pulled it out, looking at the screen. "My brother is home now. He wants me to come back to the house, so I'll see you at school tomorrow, OK?" he winked, "I'll bring you some of my vegan muffins?"

"Ooh, that sounds great!" I said.

Zane smiled, and hugged her with both arms, "Alright. See you tomorrow!" he waved as he walked out the door.
"Who was your friend?" my mom asked.

"That was Zane. He's new in town, and he walked me home so i thought he could hang out here for a bit," I told her as I picked up Spiffy and head ed towards my room. "I think he's pretty cool, don't you?"

My mom grunted lightly, a sign of disapproval, but I ignored her. After all, I liked Zane, and that was all that mattered to me.

The Next Day...

The bell was ringing just as I was walking into class. Zane was already sitting in his chair, a brown paper bag on my desk that seemed to be radiating some sort of mouth-watering aroma. I sat down, putting my bag next to my chair, "I couldn't wait until lunch to see if you liked your muffins." he smiled lightly, "And they taste better warm anyway."

I reached in the bag and pulled out a war blueberry muffin. "Ohmygoshblueberry'smyfavorite!" I said before shoving the whole thing in my mouth. I didn't care that I probably looked like a pig.

"I brought you a sandwich, too." he smiled, blushing lightly, "And I get to sit with you all day today!" he laughed, "Remember? We have ISS."

Oh yeah...
"Thanks!" I said, taking him the hand and leading him to the ISS room.

Zane shrugged, "Glad to be of service." he giggled, "What was this i heard about your ISS teacher being Narcoleptic?"

"Oh, it's hilarious!" I laughed. "He's awake long enough to take roll and then he's out like a light until the first bathroom break, then he's out again until lunch. And after that, he dies. Almost literally. Usually he have to take ourselves to the last bathroom break 'cause he won't wake up."

Zane laughed, "Then your sitting next to me, cuz I'm going to be talking to you, and I don't want to have to shout across the classroom to make myself heard."

I smiled. "Of course!"
