Kyira had to look twice. His face... it was so familiar... Then it hit her like a ten-pond pile of bricks. That gorgeous boy by the punch bowl with a slightly amused look on his face was Zane. From high school Zane.

Kyira stared dumbfounded for a few seconds before she squealed and tackled Zane, screaming his name loudly.
"Zane!!! Oh my god, I haven't seen you in for-freaking-ever!" She squealed.

Zane braced himself against the table to keep from falling over, "Kyira? What are you doing here?" He immediately asked, "I mean, not that I'm not happy to see you, it's just a little unexpected..."

Kyira gave him that are-you-kidding-me kind of look.
"Have you not heard of the band Shock Therapy...?"

Zane squealed, "YES!! Love them. Actually, it was my idea for Neo to invite them here. Are you dating Brian or something?" He asked.
((FYI: I am naming the Shock Therapy singer Brian and Neo is the singer for SKOZ.))

((And I'm making myself bass player =D))
"Pft, hell no! Brian is a jacka**. I play bass in the band."

Zane, in every sense of the term, flipped out, "NO FRICKING WAY!!!" He screamed, "I'm lead guitar for Some Kind of Zombie."

Kyira stared at him wide eyed for about three seconds before screaming.
"Holy s**t! You're kidding me! I love that band. How did I not know you played in the band!!?"

Zane shrugged, "I hide behind the speakers." He joked playfully, suddenly realizing he was hold up the line for the punch bowl, "Oh, sorry guys!" he waved, leading Kyira over to a mostly empty corner of the room, a little farther away from the blaring stereo. "Don't you mean how did I not recognize you? You haven't changed a bit!"

"ha, yeah I seriously haven't...I still act as stupid as I did. I think I gained a few pounds though...and shrunk..." Kyira pouted.
"You, haven't changed either. You still have that spikey hair all those girls at school fainted over."

Zane tilted his head to the side curiously, "There were girls that liked me?" he asked with genuine surprise.

"Uhm yeah, like every girl in the school. Do you not remember about half the fights I got into because so girl started rumors about me? Didn't you wonder why they started them?"

Zane shrugged, "Because girls are pretty much all idiots, by my figuring. Seriously. I think you are the only girl I have ever met that I didn't want to send back to elementary school again."

"Hmm, what dream world do you live in."
Kyira said with a laugh. Girls had constantly started fights with her because they were jealous with how close she was to Zane. they thought they were in love and wanted to get her out of the way.
"I was always in elementary school so you didn't have to send me back."
